Back in the Spring of 2015, we were enjoying a day on the river and decided we needed to give back to our veterans and those that sacrifice every day that  give us the privilege of freedom.  We continued to receive support from others on the rivers with our American Flags that we fly from our kayaks and canoes .  In 2018, we decided we needed to scale up and enhance how we operated as we were meeting many Veterans that were sharing their stories with us.  We are now a 501(c)(3) non profit organization giving back to our military, veterans, first responders, and their families.  We invite all to come out and join us on the rivers.  All events are shared on our Facebook Page, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter.  American River Strokers Foundation

Not only are we on the rivers, we continue to give back to other non profits that support our military, veterans, first responders, and their families.  We paddle an average of 1,200 miles a year and in the off season we contribute to organizations such as Operation Stand Down, Hero Hunt Inc, Combat Wounded Veterans Challenge, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Wreaths Across America, Cross the Line Foundation, Ocean Rowing Teams, and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.  We have also had the Honor to walk with Terry Sharpe. The Walking Marine who walks 300 miles from N.C. to D.C. creating awareness for Veterans Suicide.  If you know of an Organization that may need additional support please reach out to us. 

With any donation to American River Strokers  Foundation, we will continue to show our progress on social media where your contributions are going.  Plans for the future are to purchase more kayaks, and canoes to provide those needing them on our events.  In 2021 we started our mission to raise donations for the Just One More Scholarship for fallen first responder and veteran families higher education.
